Fur-Bearer Defenders has seen huge success in reduction of the number of animals caught in cruel traps, clearly demonstrating that together we save millions of wolves, foxes, otters, beaver, squirrel, bobcats, and so many more, from terrible, unnecessary suffering.
The number of animals losing
their lives to these grisly steel fur traps has plummeted:
In Canada, it has fallen from a high of 5-1/2 million per year, down to about one million.
In the USA, it has fallen from a high of
26-28 million animals per year, down to 3-4 milllion.

A one-year Fur-Bearer
Defenders membership (or renewal) comes automatically with any donation of $10 or more. With
membership, you can receive our quarterly member newsletters, with up to date
research and reporting on the current trapping situation.
Your Fur-Bearer Defenders’ office can provide you regularly with all sorts of
information on how you can help (who to write to, how to get more involved,
etc.), and what we can do, and are doing, together as a group.
Membership is the foundation of all our work. Your membership means that when your Fur-Bearer Defenders team speaks out for the animals, to the government, public, media, etc., we are heard with that much more authority, knowing that our messages are representative of that many more people.
Membership is $10 for a
whole year, or $100 for a lifetime membership.
A convenient and most needed way to protect animals, a little at a time, all the year through!
Monthly giving provides a stable, critical base of program funding - so that your Association can continue to focus each day working directly to protect animals from the most reckless of cruelties.
Monthly giving requires only a one-time simple set up process (alterable at any time), and can be done straight through your bank account, or through any major credit card.
The bank withdrawal program we use is through RBC Global Services, which uses a world class security system. The system works with bank accounts from any Canadian bank or other Canadian financial institution.

Legacies of Compassion As part of your legacy to the world, perhaps you would like to consider making a bequest or other planned gift to your Association. It's a gift of love and compassion for fur-bearing animals today, while helping to ensure Fur-Bearer Defenders' important work will continue into the future. your donation of $15 or more, describing the occasion, and the name and address
